We are dedicated to providing top-notch fire protection and emergency response services to the town of Brookfield and offer mutual aid to our surrounding communities. Together with our sister department, the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company on Pocono Road, we strive to ensure the safety and well-being of our neighbors. Our team of committed volunteers prides itself on a tradition of excellence, continual training, and unwavering service. The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department Candlewood Company Inc., a 100% volunteer department located on Bayview Drive in Candlewood Shores, has a rich history of dedicated service. Originally established in 1949 as Company ‘B’ to serve the isolated eastern section of New Fairfield, it became part of Brookfield in 1961. Our department, alongside our sister department on Pocono Road, provides top-notch fire protection and emergency response. Over the years, we have grown through significant milestones, acquiring advanced equipment, enhancing communication systems, and expanding our facilities. Today, we continue our unwavering commitment to protecting Brookfield residents and offering mutual aid to neighboring communities, always ready to respond to emergencies with excellence and dedication.
